she played to hard today and can not get up now? what do i do?
I took some pics of Stella's rash on her tummy.
It seems like one of the raised bumps is broken open..
I am afraid of these getting staph as well.
Should I clean her belly with rubbing alcohol? Or peroxide?
I don't want to agitate it, but with her being so low to the ground I am really concerned about infection.
The dr. told me to take her off antibiotics, because she thinks that is what is causing the rash.

Good evening! I received the probiotic I ordered for Tuffy (geneflora) and it says to give 1 scoop once a day but then underneath the dosage it says they strongly recommend doubling the recommended dose for the first two weeks when starting. My vet had advised me to start slow on a probiotic so now I'm confused. For those of you who started using a probiotic did you start slowly or give the full (or even double) the amount...? Also I give a teaspoon of yogurt with the kibble a couple times a day. Is a probiotic meant to replace that...?
Atlas had diarrhea this morning and pooped all over during the night. We cleaned it up this morning and took him out and he had the same outside. He ate normally, so we did not think much of it.
Well, I just got home from work and there was runny poop EVERYWHERE in his area (laundry room). I took him right outside and he squatted to poop several times. I cleaned up the poop which had things in it (mulch, small pebbles) which I am guessing he ate at camp yesterday.
my cooper has been on it for a week now & i don't notice any difference. some of the benefits are supposed to be improved digestion & control gas, but it seems his gas is still terrible & his stool is still a little soft. my question is this- does it take awhile to take effect? or should i be seeing some improvement already? i'm giving him the double dose for the first 2 weeks as suggested, so i'm not sure what else to do. anyone have experience with this product?
sigh, this saga continues;
Stella has broken out into what looks like hives on her belly and one leg.
I called the vet and she said it is likely a reaction to the antibiotics and to take her off them and monitor the pustules to make sure they don't flare up. I have some good oatmeal shampoo and I will keep her really clean.
We upped his melatonin to 6mg a day and its not having any effect. His bald spots are growing and while it doesnt bother him it looks unsightly. Is there anything else we can do? People keep asking whats wrong with him and i feel like a bad mommy when i try to explain SFA and what not. What else can i do?
Lately my bully's skin has been bright red. I tried changing his food incase it was allergies but it did not help. I have been giving him benedryl daily and that seems to help the itchiness but the redness does not get any better. Also he has little bumps all over his chin which are constantly bleeding and will not go away. Could this also be from allergies?

Has anybody tried giving to there adult bullies and have you had good or bad results?
I know every bully is different.
Thanks
first of all..I got a call late from the vet yesterday. I got another deaf student. this time a deaf bulldog. I met him today, he is the same age as Gus. he lives just around the corner from me and that is pretty cool. he is black and white and deaf since a puppy likely as well. I plan on going to help him out this Saturday for a bit. I know I can help this bulldog..no doubt. been there and done that. the same thing though, they just thought they had a stubborn bulldog..not a deaf one.
