I'm a paranoid Momma *pics*

I took some pics of Stella's rash on her tummy.
It seems like one of the raised bumps is broken open..
I am afraid of these getting staph as well.
Should I clean her belly with rubbing alcohol? Or peroxide?
I don't want to agitate it, but with her being so low to the ground I am really concerned about infection.
The dr. told me to take her off antibiotics, because she thinks that is what is causing the rash.

I would probably use

bacitracin.

trying to think

I don't think there is anything different.
The only thing is the antibiotics.
I am giving her benedryl and will keep that up.
I stopped the antibiotics, now I am just worried about the staph flaring up again.

Thanks for your help!
poor girl, she's really not having alot of luck lately.

I wouldn't use

alcohol or peroxide. I would use the brown listerine to clean it.

Do you have grass she has been in? It looks to me like something she has been in contact with causing the rash.

Grass
Detergent
Floor cleaner

Anything different you have used?

IMO......

if there is broken skin, i would keep it clean and use a bit of bag balm to keep it "covered." make sure she has lots of water so she can flush her system and did the vet say anything about benedryl to tone down the reaction? I am sure there are a lot more others with more expereince and home remedies than me. This is what i would do if it happened to my Josie Louise. Just my .02
