At the vet for allergy test

I just overheard the nurse on the phone with the company that is doing the allergy test and they said Tug would have to be off the steroids for 90 before they could do the allergy test. Does this sound correct?

Recommendations for puppy kibble

Hello...I'm researching good puppy food and wanted to take an inventory on what puppy foods this forum recommends for Bullies. Also how long should I keep my pup on it? I've heard contrary advice...some say only 4 months and my breeder doesn't even think English pups should be on puppy kibble at all because of the high protein content. I'm looking for a high quality kibble that will keep my Bullie healthy and help him fill out appropriately without gaining too much weight of course.

As always, I have questions about my crew!

Number one: Spike his anal glands are infected again. This is the second time in the month that he has to be on an antibiotic- Lincocin for them this time they are stinky and bloody, nasty. They said that is this doesn't work the want to sedate him and flush them???????? I don't really want to put him under as he has been under four times already and he is only two years old.

shots

Well Brother got his last puppy shots, except for Rabies, today, even though ya'll scared the poo out of me. Buddy did OK, when he got his, but the rabies was too much at this young age that's why I'm waiting a little while on Brothers. The vet had me hang around town awhile, so he could check their stools, so I was close if I had a problem in the first hour, glad to report no problems.

kibby has an idc , again, but this time

kibby has a reoccurring idc.. i was just curious how often is normal for these to be coming... it seems as though she is getting it in between the same 2 toes, every other month or so. last time, it was prety minor, just swelled up a little and it cleared up within a matter of a week on its one...

Do bulldogs have all the same blood type??

really odd question but for some reason I got to thinking what if a dog needed a tranfusion sometime.
I needed them myself and donated my own blood but what do dogs do
do they all the same blood type?
can a dog give a transfusion for another dog if needed? sorta like a blood bank..
odd question..I agree

Ester-C

Hello! Our breeder wants my pup on 500 mg of Ester-C daily. I stopped for about a week because he was having loose stools and was wondering if it was the culprit. Apparently it wasn't the cause. I'm thinking of putting him back on. Thoughts...?

My costco is now carrying grain free dog food!!!

any one else? Sorry we threw away the bag yesterday (trash pick up is mondays) but i can tell you it was 38 pounds, its salmon and sweet potatoes, a blue bag with a huge background picture of a wolf on the front- no colorful bag or picture...just blue and white lettering, the name and the wolf..sorry but i was excited..
oh and its only 28 bucks! Not bad for grain free. will let ya know what i think of it in a month or so.
