Do you give your bulldog fish oil capsules, if so what brand and how much?
From what I have read bullies are supposed to be a "moderate" shedding breed.
ok, so i tried to squeeze in as many questions as i could to make this a worthy visit and also to get to know my new bully dr. (dr. Hackler was referred to me by sfbullymeetup group). Norcal bulldog rescue supposedly use him too?
KIBBY - bully , female, 5 years old
Hello! My 11 week old bullie seems slimmer and not as chunky as when we got him a few weeks ago from the breeder. He eats 2 and a half cups of food a day (California Natural puppy mixed in with all stages Canidae, as per the breeder's regimen). He also has a half hardboiled egg every other day and a teaspoon of yogurt mixed in with his food at each meal. He has a good appetite and is very active.
i don't have a pic yet, but cooper had a hot spot on his neck right after christmas which cleared up quickly. the skin was nice & pinkish/white at first, but now is getting some gray spots??? i think i remember this happening to my older bully when she got a bald spot years ago, but not sure. her hair grew back normally. cooper seems to be fine (other than the little bald spot)& he is starting to grow hair back, but want make sure the gray spots on the skin that was pink/white originally is ok? hope this makes sense.
was just thining of your little frenchie
and wandering how things turned out with the esophagus issue
did you find the right food?
would love some kind of date..
The vet switched to this antibiotics and I read online that it should not be given to puppies that are in a rapid growth phase which depends on the breeds so is this safe to give to a 10 mos bulldog?
I have my dogs checked for worms or eggs often like every 2 months. Never any sign of any, except for the Tape worms, in Buddy a couple of weeks ago, home diagnosed, with Ya'll's help. I used Diatomemaceous earth, one teaspoon for Bud, and 1/2 teaspoon for Brother, once a day. The vet knew of this, and we found no tape worms or segments or eggs in Buds poo at the vet check Thursday.
Hello everyone!
I am new to the forum and a new English B Dog owner. Love it so far.
My question is what to do about nasal congestion?
Winston, the puppy of course, has had some nasal mucus production the past few days and seems to be trying to cough it up and clear his airway. the other day he vomitted some mucus and I don't want to wait until next week for the Vet appointment.
What can I do in the meantime to clear some of this or remedy it at home?
Thanks.
Bret
