Shedding.

From what I have read bullies are supposed to be a "moderate" shedding breed.

Up until now Roxy has not shed much at all. Lately it has turned into quite a bit. She shows no other signs of any skin condition I can see/think of. She does not seem to be itchy, there is no flaking, no skin irritation, and her coat looks and feels great. She just seems to be losing a lot more of it lately. As an example, today I bathed her, and afterwards when I was blow drying her my legs were covered in her hair. I do brush her regularly, and don't seem to pull off a lot of hair at any given time doing that. There doesn't seem ot be much in the tub after bathing either.

So was I just spoiled up until now, or is it a winter thing? If so, any tips?

Thanks

THAT's interesting.

I will have to look at the local feed store. I am sure they will have one.

Thx for the tip.

Rhonda_Winnie and Shooter's picture

I use a rubber horse curry.

It kind of grabs the hair that's ready to fall out. The dogs love it! It massages them, I bring it out and they line up for their turn. It's super cheap too, around $1.

Re: not Pae but,,,

oops, should say Pat,sorry

not Pae but,,,

Go on ebay. I paid less then 10.00 for the large one, brand new.

well...............

the furminator..just got a local pet food place.
they come in different sizes..
get the yellow one if you can find it
that way you can use it as Roxy Grows more..

the missing link
you can get it at a local place that sells pet food
it is great for the coat and other things too
some people swear by it..
you just sprinkle it on the top of the dogfood
it comes in a bag..that lasts forever even with 5 dogs..

Thx Pat. Where did you get it?

Online?

furminator..works good..

ONLY Gus is my shedder here..
along with the pugs..but they always shed..lol
I use a furminator all the time and it helps

the other thing that I heard is that the missing link
is supposed to cut down on the shedding lots
you can do a search for it on google..
they say it works..
I have just started to use it so not sure of the results..
