DO BULLDOGS feel our emotions?? this wild and wierd with Bella..

this afternoon got a call that my son will be home tonight around 10 pm or so. he was to take a train from x to z and then my other son is going to pick him up and bring him home.
he left the tug at 6 pm.
at exactly..6 pm Bella started to zoom all over the place
got into all kinds of toys to play
excited beyond anything you have seen
she is just settling down now for a bit
gotta wander if they feel the excitement in us ...
last time she did this ...just before he got back home too.

interesting video of surgery to remove heartworms. Warning GRAPHIC

Only a few of the 86 heartworms which were removed, are shown. No wonder animals can get very ill from the treatments.. reabsorbing and eliminating so much tissue!

Treatment for puppy bitch with a UTI

Just curious what others have had prescribed for their puppy bitches for UTI's. We determined that Katie has one and our Vet put her on Baytril twice a day. I always research what the kids are on and have read in several places that Baytril should not be given to puppies. Any thoughts on this??

Another dumb question

While I understand a female dog can have pups in the same litter from 2 males, would a breeder be able to inseminate with 2 dogs sperm? Except for an honest mistake, or fraud, I figure 2 pups can't be listed as having the same mother and 2 studs listed as father of separate pups born in a litter born at a certain time. While in science fiction this may be possible, but in real life, with small time breeder?

I am at my wit's end with Wiggles back (pics)

Back in November, Wiggles suddenly became very itchy. She would stand under the hedge and rub until she rub a sore spot on her head and butt. I took her to the vet and she gave me some meds. Well she isn't itchy anymore but now her back has just turned into bump city. I have been giving her Calm Coat and bathing her with the shampoo. For some reason these bumps will not clear up. I have also switched her to NB Organic hoping that helps. Any suggestions from anyone???

Purchasing a "healthy" english bulldog puppy.

My granddaughter purchased a "mini" English bulldog puppy on line, 11 weeks old, that was delivered with a broken leg, other illneses and had to be put down at the vetranary hospital in 2 1/2 days after arrival. How do you purchase a dog "online" and be sure it is healthy? I have posted this question on a few forums and no one seems to want to answer it. Are all these forums breeders? Is this one a breeder? How do I protect my granddaughter to prevent this from happening again? Is anyone out there who really cares?

Raw diet diary-month 2

Well it's been 40 days since we switched Audrey to Primal raw. She has been on the beef formula for 15 days. She has one more day of beef then we are switching the protein to pheasant. We started giving her freeze dried beef food as training treats at the same time as the Primal beef. The brand is Nature's Advantage. It seemed like a very simple ingredient food, the main difference is it has a LOT of added chemical vitamins.

New Bully Owner

Lucy will be 5 months tomorrow and since I am a new owner I have a couple of questions if anyone has any suggestions.
I feed her Iams puppy food- protein is 26% but have been reading about other brands and I was wondering if this is ok for her?
She is a great dog but I am having problems with her barking when we are in the living room and she is right there in the foyer with her toys. Any suggestions to stop the barking?

Anyone know why dogs would lose interest in Royal Canin?

Over the past two months they've shown very little interest in eating the Royal Cannin Bulldog breed. They'll eventually eat, but they don't seem to like it. Previously, they would eat it like it was candy. I was wondering if I should switch food or if there's something else.
