New Bully Owner

Lucy will be 5 months tomorrow and since I am a new owner I have a couple of questions if anyone has any suggestions.
I feed her Iams puppy food- protein is 26% but have been reading about other brands and I was wondering if this is ok for her?
She is a great dog but I am having problems with her barking when we are in the living room and she is right there in the foyer with her toys. Any suggestions to stop the barking?

consider an xpen

if you do not have one already.
they are great and you can put her out there with you in the livingroom then
they need to be close..
I have had 5 pupppies over the past few years here..between the pugs and the bullies
they all used the xpen.

the xpen is very portable and the puppy can still move around
just put some soft blankets on the bottom for puppy and some newpapers if you still need them too.
it will help lots to have her near you.

Thanks for the info. Right now Lucy has the foyer which is a good size and she can see me when I am in the Kitchen cooking and in to the living room when I am in there. We keep her with us as
much as possible unless we are eating or doing something that we can't keep a close eye on her as she is not fully potty trained.
I will look into the xpen.

if i am understanding your post

lucy is separated from you when you're in the living room? if this is the case, that is why she's barking. bulldogs need to be by their people as much as posssible. especially if she can see you or hear you & she can't get to you, she's gonna let you know she wants you. hope this helps happy.gif
i don't really know what to say about the food cuz every dog is different, but good luck-it can be a long & hard battle finding the right food for her.

I have to agree with the others

that food is a very individual thing, if your dog is doing well that's all that matters. You may want to look into food that doesn't use by-products or corn. And as far as her barking goes, is she separated from her family? If yes, then that will make her unhappy. She wants to be with her family.
