I got the report today when I took him to get his stitches removed. The stones are 100% ammonium acid urate which apparently bulldogs are prone to. There is some drug the Dr. wants to put Buster on but I can't remember the name of it right now, something purinol and they have to order it. He also put him on Purina K/D which I'm not thrilled about because I always feed high quality, organic food. I need to find something else to feed him.
Otherwise he's doing fine and feeling much better. Thanks for asking.
Purine.
He needs a low purine diet. He gave me Purina NF not K/D.
Thanks, he's so stubborn
he wouldn't get out of the car when we got home so I had to take him on all my errands.
forgot to say....
that I'm very happy to hear he's feeling better!
Cathy
when she first came home
not sure what that is
what causes that type of stone? What is in, or NOT in, the food that will prevent them from coming back?
