are there any ILL effects from catfood indulgence?? lol

part of the bully gift for Bella..was a bag of kibbles and bits..she loves it. it is the dental formula. only use it for a small treat here and there..she just goes nuts over it. i feed her a good quality food the rest of the time..
well she got the bag opened asap...the other day..

but NOW she discovered the catfood bag
and did the same thing last night
she was sleeping on the couch
came out to find that she had chewed the end off the catfood bag and was helping herself

probiotic for puppy

TGIF! It was recommended on another forum that I may want to put my 12 week old pup on a probiotic to try to settle his GI track. He still has soft stools. Has anyone used these, for how long and can you recommend a brand?

Thanks!

Help...I think my pup has cherry eye

Hello...my husband and I believe that Tuffy has cherry eye (which I've read is common in bulldogs.) It's not awful yet but from the pictures I've seen on the internet that's what I think it is. Since he came home he's scratched a bit at his left eye but today it's very red and we see what we think is that prolapsed gland. If anyone has experienced this can you give me some advice prior to going to the vet tomorrow?

Ear issue

So after the eye issue, now maybe a ear issue?

He has been scratching his right ear more than usual. Not sure if it is the ear cleaning solution that the vet gave me to clean his ears. The vet put some in his right ear last Sat to show me how to do it. Since then I did not use it. But now he kept scratching it. I use cotton to clean the inside but it is not dirty.

So the solution is irritating him? I think it is nothing. Maybe I am just being overly paranoid. Maybe it is just normal scratching.

preventive eye care

While I was researching cherry eye online (going to the vet tomorrow to get that checked out) I read that it's a good idea to clean a bulldog's eyes weekly with sterile eyewipes or eye wash. Can I get some recommendations for what eye solutions to use and how often for eye care maintenance?

Thanks!

Can mixing in small amounts of yogurt cause gastro distress?

Good afternoon! I was wondering if any of your dogs are unable to tolerate yogurt? Everything I've read says that even dogs that are lactose intolerant can normally handle yogurt. I put in a teaspoon of lowfat vanilla yogurt with live cultures to my dog's kibble for every meal (breeder's suggestion for aiding in digestion)) but I'm wondering if perhaps he's lactose intolerant and that the yogurt may be causing his soft stools? I switched from the C.

Dog Heeving...

Hi All! My little Emma louise has been doing a sort of 'heeving' a few times a day.. it seems like she's trying to clear something.. but there's nothing htat appears to be lodged.. and I've felt for it. Its been suggested that it might be dust or that is just really dry outside.. any thoughts? Does anyone elses pup do this?

Thanks amyk
