are there any ILL effects from catfood indulgence?? lol

part of the bully gift for Bella..was a bag of kibbles and bits..she loves it. it is the dental formula. only use it for a small treat here and there..she just goes nuts over it. i feed her a good quality food the rest of the time..
well she got the bag opened asap...the other day..

but NOW she discovered the catfood bag
and did the same thing last night
she was sleeping on the couch
came out to find that she had chewed the end off the catfood bag and was helping herself
I was wandering what kind of ill effects dogs can get from eating cat food

she would not have done this if not for Christmas..lol
she has never opened a bag EVER before the other night
and NOW I guess she thought was the bag was the same size..so why not

took it away and PUT it high up...
easy enough to do..
normally it was on a lower shelf in the pantry..well NOW it is way up after this

Well the cat...tootsie rolls...lol are NOT anywhere close to the

my cats litter box is in the basement...and the dogs do not go there here at all. Pugs included.
the cat food I am sure was a mistake for Bella..will keep it up higher in the future..
Bella and the cat have decided to share the house together..lol. she is not the best of friends with the cat and the cat the same with Bella. she is fine with the rest of the dogs here but not Bella. so they agree to disagree..that is the best way to put it.

thanks for your help
the cat food it up
the tootsie rolls.lol are out of sight, out of mind.lol

Not a good thing.

For one, the catfood is notably higher in protein than dogfood and that can cause pancreatitis in some dogs if given on a continuing basis (ie, allowing access to cat's food dish).

Cat poops will smell a lot like catfood so if you don't want your dog out hunting down "tootsie rolls" you need to keep him away from cat food (before and after digestion).

There can be other factors but these two jump out at once. happy.gif

lol..."toostsie rolls"...

i gotta remember that one.

;p

Have a great day, and don't forget to kiss someone you love!

yea uh oh is right...I do not think so either..but.....

she sure did indulge..
she ate lots of it
I think it was just a matter of the bag being the same size as the one she opened
and smelled the food source..lol and went after it..
I can see Gus doing something like this but NEVER Bella..just goes to show you ..you just never know what they will do..
