UTI? please help

UTI? please help

So Spanky has yet another issue I just took him outside and when I was wipping his peepee off I noticed there was a little red(blood)on the baby wipe this has happened once before and I took him to the vet and he had a UTI they gave him antibiotics and he was all better this happened over a year ago and I don't remember what kind of antibiotics they gave him, does anyone know what they usually give bullies w/ UTIs? I have refills on his keflex and clindamycin I was wondering if I should just start him on these or take him in to the vet? Thanks in advance!

The Keflex = cephalexin should be fine
If he's an adult dog he should be getting 1000mg daily, so if these are 500mg tabs/capsules, give in AM and PM. Give for at least 7 days to completely kill off the infection, even if he seems better in a day or two. Too often folk complain about dogs becoming accustomed to antibiotics but its more often that a complete dosing is not given and a germ becomes weakened but not totally killed off.
