Treating Demodex with Doramectin

Hello,

Tug update

At the vet visit Saturday they changed Tugs antibiotic which he seams to be doing better on. He is eating and not vomitting so we'll keep our fingers crossed that we can keep him off the steroids.

Cherry eye question....

my male bulldog has this and I've pretty much been able to pop it back in whenever it comes out. Seems the last couple of days it comes out several times a day, I think he's making pop out by scratching his face from his allergies. Is it possible to just keep putting it back in or should this be surgically fixed by the vet? It's not red and there is not any discharge.

if your dog is allergic to oatmeal

do you think it is possible for him to be allergic to oatmeal shampoo, I have noticed that rocky"s belly will clear up , I will give him his bath and his belly will be red raw for a few days, Finally put it together, could it be the shampoo?

Which vaccinations? Info needed :)

So with some research I have done here and elsewhere it seems vets are "upselling" some vaccines that are either unnecessary and/or can actually be bad for the dog in the long run. Which vaccines are MUST HAVES? Rabies I'm guessing? Bordatela(spelling)? Distemper? etc? Thanks in advance. Just want to do the right things wink.gif

Biting Air

I have read something about this before, but my 1 yo bulldog started this recently and I wanted to make sure I am on the right track. In the early morning (after breakfast) and late evening (couple hours after dinner), bella will sit down and start "eating dust" that is flying through the air. She is always facing the TV, and is just sitting turkey leg style. I believe i read on here that this could be an itching issue but I can't remember exactly.

Watery Eyes.. Entropion??

I tryed to do a search on this but the search is not working..
Ok, Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to get a new bulldog.
She is 8 months old, Her eyes have really been watering. They are always wet.

She came from another state so I wonder if she just needs to get use to her new surrounding or if she having allergies or if she my have entropion.

I took her to the vet and he said we will have to watch her eye's because he thought she could need that entropion (sp) surgery.

My questions are:

1 week old E.B. pup with milk coming out of nose problem

their palets were checked and ok'd. wondering what else could be going on. He's the runt of the litter and half the size of the biggest (23 oz) Is he just underdeveloped or is there something else going on...thought about tubing only and not putting on mom at all anymore. I try to get one of the bigger ones to start the sucking to maybe have the flow slower when he gets on and that seems to help, but when he's done it will come out sometimes. Any advice is welcome.

Non Bully medical question......

I rescued an older female Chocolate Lab a while back. My dad in Colorado wanted her so a little after Thanksgiving I took her to him. She has been fine mostly. She recently had an infected anal gland but beyond that nothing has been wrong. She does drink a lot of water and has since the day I found her. She also just went into heat but is already going out again (he was going to have her spayed but the vets were booked until recently, at least his vet was, and she went into heat before he could get her done).
