Good evening! I'm looking to transition my 16-week old pup off of puppy kibble since he's 16 weeks old and his C. Natural puppy formula is not working for him anyway. I know that bulldog puppies should be on a kibble in the 20-25% range after the first three months. As I begin the not-so-fun process of trying to find a kibble that works better for his sensitive digestive system, I see that most of the dog food brands now offer a Large Breed puppy formula.
I'm posting for a friend. Her bulldog has a bun type tail that gets smelly and sometimes infected. She's tried gold bond and baby wipes to keep it clean. He's going to be neutered soon and she was wondering while he's under if it is a good idea to dock some of his tail to take care of the problem. Is this something routine or major? Expensive? Painful? Or is there a better way to clean it, I'm not sure what to tell her. Any and all opinions welcome, thanks so much.
Hey all, I've seen a lot of allergy questions posted in the past and was hoping to pose another puzzle for the experts here on bulldogsworld. So, our 10 month old girl, Nola, has recently started developing what seems like an allergy that affects her eyes. We took her to the eye specialist when her eye was really inflamed and looked like cherry eye. The doc mentioned that she looked like an "allergy dog" and that the eye problem could have stemmed from allergies.
I'm willing to drive a bit for a check up and xray on my 2 EBs. I have no overwhelming concerns but my 9 month and 16 month have never seen a "EB specialist" just my normal vet who I do love but these guys require a little extra at times. I want to have their hips/knees xrayed as well as their tracheas just for comfort to know they are doing well. I'm torn between Dr. Kinnear in staten island and Dr. Lee in south jersey. Both are a drive for me but that's ok just want the best care. Can any1 give me some good advice?
I am looking for a vet in Nebraska that does surgical implant.
I have already contacted the Nebraska vets on the bulldogsworld.com website so do not need to be directed there.
If you are from Nebraska and your vet has done surgical implants on your bullie momma, please let me know! Thanks!!!

Has anybody used Promeris to treat demodex? Saw this article http://www.vin.com/proceedings/Proceedings.plx?CID=WSAVA2007&PID=18287&O=Generic
and wanted input.

Before I switch dog foods I'm going to give the geneflora probiotic a shot for a few weeks to see if it helps with Tuffy's soft stool problems on C. Natural. However I heard from someone on another forum that cottage cheese works great for soft stools (yogurt didnt' help my dog.) Has anyone had any success with cottage cheese to help with soft stool? My only qualm about trying that is that I don't want to add too much into his digestive system since I'm starting him on the probiotic.
Has anyone successfully treated an ear infection by changing the dogs diet? If so, what did you switch from~to?
Thank-you
I have been doing a lot of reading on raw diets, and I am wondering how many people here feed their bulldogs raw?
I also would LOVE to hear from those that feed un-ground, bone in animal parts?
Does anyone NOT feed any vegetable source whatsoever?
I would really appreciate hearing from raw feeders!

There is alot we have read on spinning on the tail. Sarge has no inflammation in the tail pocket, ears are clear and anal glands are fine. His vet gave him an injection of Ventalog and it stopped for 3 weeks. The vet said that he saw nothing to cause this. Has anyone had experience like this where there seems no cause? Wonder if Benedryl would help?
