Biting Air

I have read something about this before, but my 1 yo bulldog started this recently and I wanted to make sure I am on the right track. In the early morning (after breakfast) and late evening (couple hours after dinner), bella will sit down and start "eating dust" that is flying through the air. She is always facing the TV, and is just sitting turkey leg style. I believe i read on here that this could be an itching issue but I can't remember exactly. Absolutely no other movement - no scratching, no rubbing, no signs of allergies or other medical issues....

Is this a problem, or should I hug her extra hard for trying to eat the dust before it lands on my furniture and I have to clean it? Thanks!

Tail Pocket??

My Zoey does this when her little tail pocket is itchy.
I clean it really good with a baby wipes and I put some diaper cream in there and she is good as new! You might want to check it.

Definitely sounds like an itch that she cannot scratch...

and maybe because she isn't scratching anywhere you doubt this, but it IS the most frequent reason for it. If you have checked both all around the tail and the ears, then check under her upper lip for any hairs that can be stuck against the gums or the upper teeth. happy.gif
