Belle had pups today at 3pm. One has a little fluid on her, the doc said she wasn't a "water" puppy but I think she is.
She sounds congested and bottom lip is a little dusky compared to the others. At times a clear little bubble comes out of her nose. I have suctioned and swung her down.
Should head be elevated or lower to allow for fluid to drain? Any advice?

We have decide to transition the both our dogs to Taste of the wild
Wish us luck !!!!
The vet called this morning, Boo did regurgitate a little this morning one time which is a major improvement and he's on medications to control the reflux and make the sphincter stronger. They are still suspecting he has a hernia and since surgery are all booked, I've asked to hold off the endoscopy to do it on monday so the inflammation on his esophagus have time to heal and do surgery at the same time too so he only needs to be under anesthesia one time. I'm glad I brought him to the right vet and they are taking really good care of him.
I just figured out every penny I paid for Audrey's medical expenses for the year, including the cost of the policy, and I saved $304.00. If she needs to go to the vet before Jan I will save even more. My question is, does anyone use the Purina Insurance? I am currently using the AKC insurance, but they exclude all genetic conditions and have a $13,000 per year max.
Josie Louise is outta surgery and is in recovery, get to pick her up after 300 pm PST. Yeah, my house is empty without my big 'ol wiggle butt. yeah!!
I went to a show ladies house way back when to see Bella's DAD. she had georgous bullies and most were outside..it was the summer time..
but she had Pails.and it looked soo out of place for the water..
but now..............LOL
think that is my next step here too.......
tired of filling the water bowl..
I have not seen a dog that drinks as much as my bullies..
love is very powerful, may the blessings be. J & T
I am listening to a show on the radio here with a behaviourist on the show.
she made mention to a bullog in particular to how
sensitive the bully is to noise and people that raise their voices..
instead of using the word NO..
clang two pans together instead.
you will get a far better response out of the bully..and also.......
it is far less stress on the dog
personally I suggest learning the sign for NO..lol. but that does not always work. with Gus being deaf the pans would not help...
I am just so nervous about my baby girl having surgery!I know my vet will give me instructions but there is nothing like advice from bulldog people! We have steps leading off the deck outside, there is no way to get to the ground without using steps. Do we have to carry her? Won't that hurt her? What about bedtime? She sleeps with us now, and we lift her in and out of bed. Should we make her sleep in her crate? Do we shut both doors or let her into her x-pen area?
