Please help, problem with new pup

Belle had pups today at 3pm. One has a little fluid on her, the doc said she wasn't a "water" puppy but I think she is.

She sounds congested and bottom lip is a little dusky compared to the others. At times a clear little bubble comes out of her nose. I have suctioned and swung her down.

Should head be elevated or lower to allow for fluid to drain? Any advice?

Heather

Good to hear this.

Sometimes you have to 'go with your gut feelings' and treat each pup accordint to its needs at that given time. Hope this little one continues to thrive. happy.gif

survived the night

Well, the girls all made it through the night. My "water" pup lost 1.1 oz last night, she pees alot and looks better this morning. I am tube feeding the pups, but last night after another episode of her getting choked up, I decided to bottle feed her and we take things very slow. This mornings feeding went alot better.
