LISTENING To a radio show..behaviourist for a bully...

I am listening to a show on the radio here with a behaviourist on the show.
she made mention to a bullog in particular to how
sensitive the bully is to noise and people that raise their voices..
instead of using the word NO..
clang two pans together instead.
you will get a far better response out of the bully..and also.......
it is far less stress on the dog

personally I suggest learning the sign for NO..lol. but that does not always work. with Gus being deaf the pans would not help...

claim they have tested the theory..on farm animals as well as ot

so not sure
but kinda makes sense to me in the fact that the pennies and such..would startle them more then the person raising their voices.
I bet the dog would think different with an object making the noise verses the owner too
that is what she was trying to say anyhow

wondering how that is less stressful?

Audrey tends to react pretty strongly to loud noises like that.
