I just figured out every penny I paid for Audrey's medical expenses for the year, including the cost of the policy, and I saved $304.00. If she needs to go to the vet before Jan I will save even more. My question is, does anyone use the Purina Insurance? I am currently using the AKC insurance, but they exclude all genetic conditions and have a $13,000 per year max. The Purina does not exclude genetic conditions and has a $20,000 per year max, but they have a statement in their renewal policies about them being able to not renew if they consider the dog to have a non-insurable condition. Then you'd be stuck with trying to start new with the waiting periods again and anything your dog has would be considered a pre-existing, therefore non-covered condition. Has anyone had any dealings with them?
