Hello BDW members,
First off, we hope that everyones 2010 is off to a great start! My name is Nate and along with my partner Admin, we want to introduce ourselves as the new admins for BulldogsWorld.
Tank still has the acne all over his chin. I wipe his face after eating and drinking. I have tried pyoben that the vet gave me and I used it once a day for a week just as I was supposed to. I tried the Listerine and gold bond powder, but i'm not really seeing much improvement. Maybe I'm not giving it enough time to work?? It always seems to be worse at night especially after he plays. Do you think he has allergies? He doesn't scratch it at all. Could it be his food? He is eating the Wellness lamb. Does any one have any other suggestions?
Hey, I know it is late, but my Georgia is 4 years old and has hives on her back and red raw skin and hair loss. Any suggestions what this might be and what I can do tonight about it?
Thanks!
Has anyone ever used the Kalaya Emu Oil shampoo? I think I have bought every kind of shampoo Petco has to use on Mason but he always ends up breaking out or just itching with everything I have tried. I have also tried several shampoos from the vet which made him red and itchy. I got a jeffers pet catalog and saw this stuff in it and it said it was good for dogs with skin problems/ allergies so figured I would ask on here to see if anyone has ever used it.
I know many bulldogs have breathing problems and thought this was interesting. I would really love to hear your thoughts. My daughter lost her baby a few days ago from a narrow trachea. Watch the video towards the bottom.

My daughter just lost her not quite 2 year old bully. They did a necropsy and told her it was due to a narrow trachea and built up phlegm. She has always been a heavy breather but nice and active. Was there anything a vet could have done for her so this wouldn't have happened? We are greif stricken over this and she is beating herself up over it thinking she should have known that something was wrong. She wasn't eating well during the last week but never would have suspected she would die. Just curious if anyone has dealt with this before.
Cam home and my Marley was just laying in his crate, very unlike him. He is usually up and excited to be let out and runs out of his crate. He finally came out of his crate a bit later, ate dinner and just kinda laid low. I didn't think too much about it until after I made dinner I notice he wasn't around. I found him just laying down in his crate and again wouldn't come out. When my husband came home he never came out, usually Marley is the first one waiting for him at the door.
Hi everyone,
Well I had a bit of a surprise today.
My Stella had some spots which we suspected were staph and I had asked for some advice here, and got some really great suggestions! But they didn't go away so when my DH said he noticed her favouring her left hind leg I called the vet and got her in for an appt. this morning.
Well, the spots were staph and we got a prescription for antibiotics for her.
But the vet couldn't get a good feel of her legs so she wanted to do an x ray.
