I read a post on another board about a friend's bulldog who kept waking her up last night because he would sit up and stare at nothing and otherwise act restless. Flynn has been acting similar the past few nights. She will be laying down in a deep sleep, then suddenl sit up, sort of look around with a worried expression, stare for a while at nothing, get off the bed and then back on almost immediately, etc. And another person also said her bulldog has acted odd the past few nights.
Inspired by the tragedy with Cleo, maybe some of us will spare ourselves the same loss by rethinking the way we travel with our bullies...
In case you missed it in the discussion about seat harnesses below, I dug out Raven's seat belt. He was 120# and always wore it. I never would have dreamed it would fit Betty, but sure enough, I adjusted the sliding buckles as small as they go and it fits her. Except for I had to stitch up the sheepskin in front a bit so that it was a bit snugger in the shoulders. She is only 42#.
I have a followup question on the informative dry paw question that Chrissy posted a few days ago. I'm wondering if I should apply bag balm (or the other remedies) if Tuffy's paws are just dry and not cracked. I was ready to pick up some bag balm for Tuffy's dry paw bads, but I read online that its much better in the long run for your dog to have tough pads than soft, tender ones. And if I do go ahead and lubricate how often should I do it for maintenance?
Thanks!
I thought some folks might enjoy reading about all the fun stuff "Butler Blue II" got to do before, during and after the National Championship Basletball Finals. Blue is a very cute boy and was a cute representative for all English Bulldogs!

my Lola just turned 4 in January and recently I've noticed that when I rub her back, I can feel almost all of her spine, is that a sign of aging? My Chuckie supposedly is her same age, according to the people that I adopted him from, and his back doesn't feel the same as hers, is it maybe a female thing? It makes me sad to think that she is aging already, 4 years old doesn't seem old, is it maybe just poor breeding?
