Go BIG BROWN

A big brown truck pulled up this morning with the toys for Buddy's party tonight, and 2 doggie biscuits for Buddy and Brother. Saved the day. He was born 4-5, but the grandkids come over on Wednesday for dinner so it's tonight. The little grandkids will anyway, we don't need the older one's texting and moaning.

Happy Birthday Bernie! (pic heavy)

I can't believe my little boy is two already. Where does the time go? I just wanted to take the time to thank each and every one of you here at BDW. Bernie is our first Bulldog, and without the advice I've gotten from the board, I'm certain we may have killed or maimed him (inadvertantly, of course) by now!

Stacie, I am in tears over your tragic loss, I am SO sorry...

I know how devastated you must be. I read your post about her giving you a sign. Our Winnie gave us many. It's very reassuring.

To Stacie

I'm so sorry to hear about Cleo. It's always hard to cope when we lose a bullie, but especially so when it happens suddenly. I'm glad your husband and Hercules are ok.

LOVE THE Pluto position...PIC...too cute....

I think that this is the one thing that makes me smile everytime I see one of the bulldogs do it. Gus and Bella are always in pluto.. seems to be just before a big case of the zoomies on the way..lol

Its been two years today

that we had to give Lucky eternal peace.

He was my special boy and we did so much together. A few weeks ago I spoke an english obediencejudge, and she remembered him very lively from a visit in 2004!. She admired his retrieve! (may be you still remember that we competed in obedience and Lucky always wanted to kill the dumbbell....). And she told me that she saw him again in England during a show, and she had a great time watching the other competitor watching Lucky work. They were soooo amazed!

Coat question

Hi! I have a general question about the texture of a Bulldog's coat. Tuffy's head and chest are soft like velvet but his back is kind of course. Is that the norm for a bulldog or is that a sign of dry skin? He doesn't itch and doesn't have any hot spots or anything and it looks nice and shiny but I'm wondering if maybe I should supplement. The Iceland Pure fish oil caused gastric distress so that's out...

Advise please

I have two female bulldogs. Both are the same age (2)and that is where it ends. I have Layla who is afraid of everything!! She is always very intense, on guard and scared. If there is something new outside or in the house she will not go out or close to it. She is very scared of plastic and just always seems on edge. She will not go out and play with balls or if my grandsons are over riding their four wheeler. Then I have Bella, she is very happy go lucky. Not afraid of anything. Will run and chase balls and the four wheelers.
