Has anyone used the training collar with remote to train their dog? my Finn although very sweet and very cute has some issues. i have tried to address but it's not working. he demands your attention and look out if he does not get it. he starts barking and jumping on you and basically sounds like a crazy attack dog. he doesn't scare me but may scare others who come to my house. he will do this to visitors if they do not pay attention. i have spoken to a trainer and one of her methods is the collar with remote.
thanks for help.
I know this topic can get beaten to death, but I had to ask. Butler (16 months) has terrible rust tear stains. They just happened out of the blue last week. His eyes look kinda watery, but the stains look worse on his white face. Nothing has changed - same food (NB fish and sweet potato), same water, same treats, etc. Does this mean we have ventured into the wonderful world of outdoor allergies? Any suggestions? Benadryl? Some type of Rx? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.

I normally never hit a quik but the other day I hit Bella. I tried and tried to get the bleeding to stop. tried the constarch no luck, tried flour. I found on a website to just rub a bar of soap on the nail and it would stop. had to do a few times but it worked thank goodness
I was wandering about Quik Stop. have you used it?
wandering is there is a better product out there then Quik Stop as well.
the vet uses some kind of liquid to stop it too..but it is not for sale at the office
What are the reasons that you really should not do an ultra sound after about day 28? Anyone know?
she goes back to the vet for a recheck today
the pred works and glad about that
means no surgery required.
My vet has never used pred before on a dog for a hemotoma.
pred has some side effects..mainly inside accidents due to the amount of water they drink because of the pred.
Bella is happy and me too
thanks for all the support and help on the board with all this..
Hi everyone..I have been on this site over the years but have never posted ..shy I guess..I have a 12 year old female English Bulldog,(had her since 8 weeks old) Daisy with a large tumour on her outer ft foot pad, probably about 1 inch in diameter, raw with some necrotic like black superficial areas starting on it. Due to her age and site of the tumour we (vet and myself) have decided it would be very risky to even consider surgery..she is still eating (not as much as usual), drinking and wanting to go for car rides.
Reviewed all the messages on headshakes any new and updated info on this? I have a female 2yrs old, pregnant, and due at the end of the month started showing signs of this. I can stop it by adding Karo syrup to her food and feeding her but it only stops for about 6-8 hrs and then she starts up again like a chipmanze with the yeses.

My Gunther is limping around like crazy. I think it's a torn ACL. Is there anything I can do now or give him to ease his pain?

The other week I mentioned to a manager at petco that I had a bully that had yeast problems and she told me to try Acidophilus and fish oil capsules before I try switching his food. He is currently on natural balance fish and sweet potato and I have been giving him the Acidophilus and fish oil for 3 weeks now and I have yet to see a difference in the yeast problem. His ears stay terrible..I can clean them out good and then by the next morning they are terribly crusted over with yeast.
