that neutering too early will effect their growth, like the size of the head and shoulders. I don't know.

I never would have neutered MacKenzie but when Cleo came into the house I didn't want an intact dog with an intact bitch.

starting to shall we say to do guy...things...LOL he will be neutered but i am getting conflicting opinions about when it should be done. ranging from right at 6 months to "wait until he is at least a year". I am just wondering about the reasoning and the ideas of the folks here.

lol!! just kidding, anytime past 6 months is what I understand but some vets will neuter as young as 14 weeks. How is Precious?

best decision i made was to neuter them

I am whispering the word neuter around booger but the vet said said it pretty clearly....LOL

He will be 1 on the 30th of this month. Deuce was neutered at about 9 months. I will say though in the last month or so Oliver really started to mark things outside. He never lifted his leg until then so he could mark tree trunks. Deuce still squats and I am hoping Oliver will forget how to lift his leg now that he has no junk, I like the squatting much better!

I did a lot of reading on line about the reasons to wait. But we really had to since my boy had had demodex and the stress would have made that worse. Had to neuter because he had undescended testicles. The vet said no he wouldn't get cancer even if we waited till he was 3 years old.
But do a google search about ligament injuries and neutering.
