well its been almost 2 days
Submitted by SoCalTony on April 21, 2010 - 12:40amand bella has not ate anything. well i take it back, i gave her a piece of chicken yesterday. nothing too big. a little piece. but she does not eat. i switched her over from natural balance fish to the bison formula because she didnt like it. well i was feeding her natures choice she didnt eat much of that either. but like i said she has not eaten anything. but her behavior and everything looks normal. she doesnt seem sluggish or anything. seems normal. what the heck is wrong with her?

she is being fussy??? will she something? if you give her some chicken or baby food would she eat it....
i think its important to find out if she is being fussy or as i say a brat.....or if .she is sick...maybe a blockage which will only get worse as time goes bye...

Not eating is not 'normal'
and by the time she seems sluggish she may have a steep climb out of a hole?! Do you put down a measured amount of food in the morning and pick it up after 10mins? Then don't feed anything until dinner and do the same...the only thing you leave out is water...and if she isn't eating because she doesn't like the food, she may not finish it all but she should be hungry enough to eat...preventing that eating is some medical problem that hasn't been diagnosed. Almost any dog can bypass one meal, even two, but they WILL eat that 3rd meal if nothing else is offered, such as treats or human food. I suggest you make an appt for Saturday at the vets and you can cancel it if she begins to eat but if not, don't wait until the middle of the weekend when you have fewer options available for help.
