update on the tile story for my Sonoma guest house...

The tile is in and I got it done (floor in 6x6's, shower in subway tiles, and shower floor in 4x4's set on diagonal. It looks great and..... drum roll..... it ended up costing $7,000 less than the outrageous quote from the rip off tile guy who did our main house.
The wood floor is in, the kitchen and bath granite went in yesterday. Can't wait to see that. All that's left inside is painting the bathroom and putting up towel bars, shower doors, and a toilet. Outside we still need the deck in back and a porch and pergola in front. I'm more excited about this 650 square foot guest house than I was during two years of construction of the main house!

in your guest house for two weeks each year, right? Plus some bulldog time sharing too. I'll take Bentley when I show up. Oh, I expect room service too, so hone up on your breakfast fixing skills. Especially seafood omelletes.

When's lunch?! Just kidding....I am happy for you that it is done and was SO much less than the one jerk quoted. My hubby said he was moving to CA if that was the going rate for a tiny tile floor!
