i just spoke with the vet and she said the barrium finally made its way through ;
it seems like whatever clogged him up was probably stuck in his belly and thats why it took a long time for the barium to get through.... it must have gotten soaked up in his belly ... since they had him on iv fluids along with the barium it seems like he is slowly geting rid of the blockage .
he is not getting worth and according to the vet , started to perk up a bit. they will keep him over night and also on the fluids throughout the night . it seems like -maybe due to the fluids- the object is slowly making its way "out" .
they will take more xrays tomorrow morning and well take it from there but it seems like we just geting bye with a scratch. pfffew
thank you all soooo much for the good thoughts and prayers - once again they worked wonders !!!!
thank you all so much !!!!!

Hopefully it's the cardboard box you suspected and it's passing.
I know you said he chewed a box. Maybe that is what has clogged him up. Hopefully it will pass on it's own without any surgery.
I don't rescue animals because I want to feel better about myself, or morally superior to anyone. The best part of my life with animals is the humility they teach and the humanity the foster.

I wnat Bruce back home with you tomorrow, feeling better!
If it was the cardboard, at least it wasn't anything sharp that could cause bleeding, and the IV hydration will perk him up (dehydration does make a body weak). Doc may not discharge him until he sees that the dog is willing to eat a little something, and keep it down, so Bruce may have to stay a bit but hopefully not another night away from home.
Great news, good luck.
