I noticed yesterday that Toby was limping on his front leg. At first I thought it might be his shoulder, but then he started licking the bottom of his paw. So I looked and he had a sore on the bottom. I took him to the vet and she said it was slightly infected, probably from him licking it. So she put this fabulous bandage on him. She said it was red but it looks awfully pink to me!



He is quite put out with the whole thing. At first he would not walk on the bandaged foot at all, and just hopped around. So I started carrying him around (luckily he is only about 45 lbs). He does not usually like to be carried, but now he will wait for me to come get him! He will stand there with the most pitiful face until I get him. So I have been hauling him around all day.

The vet is not sure what made the initial sore spot, maybe a thorn or a fire ant bite. He is on an antibiotic, so hopefully he will heal up soon!
