We just want to say thank you to everyone for the kind words and virtual hugs. It's been a very hard day for all of us, but it's such a huge comfort to know the depth of caring in our little bully community. Lots of love to you all.

Hugs to you. I can imagine how stressful and terrible this day must have been for you. Thank God your husband and hercules are ok.
My boy Chief was obsessed with rocks. He ate them, he carried them around the yard and often brought them inside and usually fell asleep with one in his mouth. Well, a few months after I lost him, I found one of his rocks in the house. That night I dreamed a bulldog puppy arrived in my mailbox. I had been going back and forth over wheather I should get another puppy and the rock combined with my dream seemed like a message that Chief was telling me he was OK and it was OK to get another puppy. At least that's the way I took it and not long after I found a wonderful breeder who happened to have just the puppy I was looking for.

Schubert, Bella, and many others at the rainbow bridge. I will remember you for many days, not because of how you lost her, but how you were able to "feel" her presence today. Bless you all. Maggie
I can't believe it. This must be what told me to check in today. I haven't been on BDW much but felt the need to check today. Oh Miss Cleo! My heart hurts for all of you. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Please, please, please let me know if I can do anything or if you need/want to talk - whether it's via email or phone!

I couldn't get this out earlier, but I know she's watching over us. When we took her to the vet and had Hercules checked out, an older couple came in while we were in the waiting room. The wife walked up to the counter & said she was there with "Cleo Patricia" She kept telling her, "Cleo, come. Cleo, stay." We looked at each other and couldn't believe it. Maybe a sign? They took her into the back to for whatever she was there for, and then the tech came out and said, "Who's here for Cleo?" She ran right up to us instead of her owners. Definitely a sign that she is looking down from the bridge at us.
As you will remember, I had the absolute pleasure of spending quality time with Cleo......gave her a couple of toys that instantly became more trouble than they were worth, and realized pretty soon that this gal had WAY more of a personality than a four letter name could express. Turns out that to me she became Cleo-Patty......a rif on Cleopatra, but with the hip spin that she demanded.
She loved me unconditionally (in my mind - I was probably a huge PIA to her!), even if I wouldn't share my Stacie-prepared gourmet dinner with her, and she was nothing short of delighted to experience everything her family could come up with! She had a life that I can honestly only dream of - one of love and fun and where are we going next and can we snuggle- and never wondering if love is finite.
Stacie, Doug and Paper Boy, my heart is very honestly broken for all of you tonight. Losing any one of our babies is horrific, but your circumstances have no explanation and that's the hardest to handle. Please know that I hold all of you, and especially Miss Cleo-Patty very tight in my heart. I am honored to have met herself - she was "trouble", and I liked it.
I can't imagine what you are going through right now...
please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
