Puppy teeth Question for all the Experts. PIC

Hi Everybody,

Out little guy is just getting his big boy teeth. His front teeth are pretty much in now on both his top and bottom jaws. However, we've noticed that the teeth on the bottom jaw are not exactly straight.

The two front teeth are right in the middle, but then the next two came in a bit behind them.

Our boy will be 4 months old this week, so he still has quite a bit of growing to do.

So, my question is... Are these teeth likely to straighten out as his bottom jaw grows? Or will he just have crooked teeth? I guess I've never watched a puppy cut his grown-up teeth so closely before, so I have no clue.

Thanks for your help!

Scott

I think its all a gamble

they may strignten up as the jaw gets width or they may not. If you have no interest in showing him then it doesnt really matter...the teeth should be an even level row..I believe that is what the standard calls for..but you dont see it as often as you should.
I pulled my bitches baby teeth out when they came in as they were pushing the new teeth out of alingnment. I love a nice set of straight teeth on a nice jaw.....IMO if you have two dogs that are very similar and one has bad teeth ...then the one with a nice teeth should win!

Beautiful

One beautiful Bully. Looks like the beginning of a champion.

His teeth did that too....

The baby teeth were right in front of the adult ones, so they did not exactly push the baby ones out. They did fall out on their own evantually, though.

well...

He should turn out to be of show quality should we decide we want to do it. His breeder has been wonderful and supportive, but not pushy in suggesting that we show him.

His father is actually a BCA Hall of Fame producer, so the potential is definitely there.

We actually are lucky to have a school just down the street. The owner of the school has been training dogs in our area since the 60's, and the class prices are pretty reasonable. I guess we're lucky in that regard.

In any case, we'll just see how it goes. If it turns out to be something my wife and I enjoy doing with him, then we may give it a try.

Either way, he'll be our baby!

yeah...

Logic kinda tells me that they will move somewhat as his jaw gets larger, but I guess you never know...

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm enjoying reading about everybody else's experiences.

Just saw this picture. He is beautiful... Are you planning on sh

were classes here. I don't want to show but I think it would be fun to do the baby classes.

Josie is 4 months and her teeth are like that also. I almost too

vet last week because her permanent teeth were in and the baby teeth didn't look like they were ever going to fall out. I just helped pull them out this weekend. I think with time the teeth will move forward some. I think the tongue helps them move up. I never even knew when my other bulldogs lost their teeth.
My human daughters baby teeth would not fall out on their own and her permanent teeth were coming in. She had teeth everywhere. Talk about a snaggle tooth!!!!! Her dentist never wanted to help them out either. Eventually everything moved and we never needed braces.......

Dixie has pretty straight bottom toofs ***PIX**

maggies bottoms are like that too

nm

technically...

They're supposed to be straight across, more or less. It really only matters if you're showing, and even teeth onlt make up 2 points in the 100 point scale.

My Daisy's teeth looked about like your little guy's

when she was younger. She is just a year old now and her teeth have straightened some but are not completely straight.

Is it bad if they are not completely straight?

Does my Daisy need braces? LOL

Thanks for the reply....

Here's our baby last week at conformation class... at 3.5 months.

Crooked bully teeth

I have yet to meet a bully with straight bottom teeth. I used to joke I was going to get Stella braces. Your little guy's teeth look exactly right to me but won't ever be straight. Just look at it as being part of his charm!!

P.S. Can we see the rest of him?!
