Poor Tinker's foot (kinda gross pic)

They took the bandage off Tinker's foot on Monday. I have been bringing her to work with me to make sure she doesn't lick it. She has been doing surprisingly well. Doesn't seem like it bothers her. She does favor it a little when going up and down the steps. The stitches should come out in about 10 days.

I wasn't expecting to see that Looks painful. Glad she is doing well and not licking it. Hope the path comes back benign and Best Wishes to her for a speedy recovery.

She had to have her toe amputated

She got a bad infection that was deep in the bone. After 3 weeks of some seriously strong antiobotics, nothing had changed. The bone was deterioating. The vet decided it was best to amputate the toe rather than risk her losing the whole foot. The toe has been sent off to A&M. Will know the results in about 14 days. Hopefully it is not cancer.

Looks like it's healing pretty nicely though.

And I love Skidmark! My dad's chocolate lab went to the bridge last fall and I miss him. So don't be shy with the Skid pics!
