Hi everyone,
I'd like to introduce you to my new bullie named Alphie. I've adopted her, she is blind due to neglect from previous owners and had to have her eyes removed due to the pain. She went blind from infections that didn't get addressed. I fell in love with her the minute I seen her. She is amazing and such a wonderful girl. I'm so impressed at how smart and quick she is to learn her way around.
I hope all our bullies are well and need to catch up here. Enjoy the weekend.
Maria
u r amazing!

Not all bullies are as fortunate as the ones we call our own....

This photo cracks me up of your bullies!
I just love that look they have with the blurbs.
Alphie makes my day!
This girl is amazing and I can't wait for her to really feel 100% comfy. She is doing so wonderful so far. She's getting more comfy with taking walks and trusting in me she can move faster.
She, today has found her way to and from her crate on her own. Now she can go in and out of it when she feels like it. That made my day. She really get's around very well now. And she is learning some commands, such as "step"....knowing she has to go down or up one. Even though I only have 3 steps outdoors from the deck to yard.
I'm very protective of her, but also allowing her to be a dog that can do things normal in safe surroundings. She is just so amazing. I wouldn't trade her for any other animal in the world. I'm so glad I adopted a rescue this time. How rewarding this is for me and my family.
Thank you for the nice compliment. There is a lot of faith in humankind that comes from those who put their time in the rescue groups...bless all those people.

I thank those who made this happen for us.
And all those who love this breed and all animals.
Something pulled me toward her, strange how things happen.
I never had experience with a blind dog, but had read alot about them and working with them. I'm going to give her a normal life through my eyes and be working with her tons. Her personality is outstanding and I couldn't have asked for a better dog.
My vet's tech had her for 6 weeks prior to me getting her after her eye surgeries. So we are in close contact and that is always nice. This is a bulldog vet where I had taken my Dottie too.
I'm going to love her as she us.
Maria

Thank you for sharing your experiences
They are special dogs. I agree they have a sense of things the seeing dogs don't. Thank goodness for that! She will be loved, no doubt.
I have a blind pug here..and they do catch on fast...
the little blind pug is 9 here..been blind since birth but he can do things and notices things the seeing dogs do not..
we had a major power outage a few times and the rest of the dogs kinda just hoover..he continues like normal.
i had a repair here to check out the power box in the basement..pitch dark and otis just had to check out what this guy was doing and bark at him. soo funny
