Please help if you can. My oldest and dear sister Dottie

passed away in January. She had a very sweet pit bull that was so very attached to her and she loved this pit so very much. The pits name is Posh and she is 11 yrs.old. Posh has some issues such as she has had a urine leakage every since she was spayed some yrs ago and is on meds for that. She also has a very bad odor and I am not sure if it is because she needs to be bathed or if it is caused from a health issue. My sister was on oxygen and I know she couldn't bathe Posh but I don't know if any of her sons that lived with her bathed her either. The sons weren't very helpful with anything. My sister loved Posh so very much and Posh loved her so much she wouldn't eat if Dottie wasn't there and she would bark at Dottie if Dottie was going out the door. lOl My sister was on a vent and just before the doctors were going to put Dottie in a deep sleep so they could turn off the vent Dottie wrote a note to her kids that said "I love you all and Posh". She asked about Posh everyday she was in the hospital. I know Dottie expected one of her kids to take care of Posh but the only one that could take her has been told by his landlord that Posh must go. I am so afraid they will have her put down as they feel they will never find anyone to take her with her problems and because of her age. Posh lives in Tuckerton,New Jersey. If anyone has any idea what would be best for Posh I would love to hear your suggestions. I was wondering if any of the rescue people on here think that rescue would be something they should look into. She is extremely sweet! Hugs,Gloria

GLoria if I remember right,

there is a "retirement" home in upstate New York, where dogs can go. I will try and look it up right now and get the name, as can't remember it. I had saved it in my other compter, but now it's gone. I will try now.

There's got to be someone here who knows an APBT Rescue..

I hope you get some good news i hate to hear about dogs being left behind when their owners pass away. Good vibes and good luck to you and Posh.
