avoid the vet at all costs and just get these products through mail order. I remember years ago you HAD to get an rx from a vet, which meant the vet had to actually examine your dog first before prescribing it. It helped to develop a relationship between the vet and your dog, and kept the vet aware of your dog's overall health. Now you can just buy it, even heartworm meds don't require a vet to actually SEE your dog anymore, you can just call the mail order places and they'll write one for you.

We had Ozzy on Frontline Plus--but he got bitten last fall and his face swelled up--so the vet changed him from the Frontline to Adnvatix because it has the repellant--we gave him one dose last October then this weekend--now I am concerned--I will be going back to the Frontline. I wish I didn't need to use it at all, but we have alot of woods and dear around here and Ozzy loves his walks in the woods.
Re: is this a preventative?
I use it when I see one---don't really know if its a preventative.
Re: How do you apply it?
Just wash the same way you give a bath. You will see the little devils falling off!!!
is this a preventative?
or for if you notice fleas on them?

How do you apply it?
That is so interesting...I love it when everday products have multiple uses. How do you use it? Where? and how much?
Mack's Mom .
Ok, doing some research here...seems this lawsuit is about
products with pyrethrin...frontline does not have it but from what I can see Advantix does. Still reading.
Dawn dishsoap
Works on my dogs.I follow it with skin so soft by Avon.
EPA launched investigation in January

Sanofi makes Frontline...unless they also make an OTC product?
nm
It's not just OTC products...
nm
Ugh...this is why you NEVER buy those OTC products.
If anyone is interested, our holistic vet suggests this
