when my boston terrier reached 18 years old..all the members of the boston terrier site that I belonged to at the time..sent her 2 blankets that were made of fleece by boston terrier rescue. they are all hand tied..no sewing for the rescued dogs. long time ago..doubt they even make them anymore but i still have the 2 of them that Bella uses on occasion. wow that is bringing back some memories. lost that boston terrier like 10 plus years ago now.

My young son year ago took a candy to bed when he was not supposed too and choked. my boston terrier at time was recovering from a spinal infarct..and she somehow got up to the top of the bunk bed and screamed top of her lungs. I went in to find Gord turning blue, had to do the hyneken sp? manover but it worked. if not for her..he might not have made it. I credit that dog to saving his life for sure.
they always shared a special bond Tetley and Gord until she passed over the bridge at 19 and a half.

but want to know how Floyd saved your life
that has got to be an interesting story..

I have always loved dogs since I was a very young kid. And my first dog, Floyd, saved my life so if I could ever love dogs more, I did after that.

No kids, only dogs!

so we have to all share beds..lol
3 of us pugs sleep together in one bed and one bed only..
the bullies took over the cats bed..so that is all they get that

the life of luxury our own beds and blankets..but not here..lol ...

looks like he leads a rough life eh?? lol

fleece blankets at your house..wooof that is really not fair here.. I get some odd ratty old comforter..how do I get a fleece blanket...?? I know come to your house for a visit..maybe stay..woof..lol??

and Gus well he loves all homemade cooking..of any kind
MOM might have to come she would miss us too..

he has such a "rough" there...LOL what a comfy cozy boy

I get upset when that happens here too..
but Max is a millions times better then when he first got here..nightmares and shaking and hiding and all that. he is super lovebug now..big change in him...he fit right into the family really well here.
NOW all he wants is a PUPCAKE and a BLANKET to covered with ..lol
and he might just get that one day soon

I get so upset when I make a move and Cain cowers thinking I am going to hit him. Or if he has an accident in the house, he gets soo upset!

Accidents, please.....after what we went thru with Friday and Prednisone, accidents do not phase me at all!!!

I think Cain thought he was in heaven the first time he had an accident in the house and I went over and kissed him and told him it was okay....lol

you could never ever lack for kisses in my house!!

My first Cocker Spaniel, Floyd, use to have to put his paw up to stop my face from zooming in for kisses.....it was actually pretty funny!

I give kisses all day long, Max. I work from home and if I could find a way to take a picture of it....I would show you that I have 4 dog beds in my office so my doggies can sleep with me when I am working and everyone has their own blanket!

I spend alot of time with all my dogs
but having a rescue here has taught me lots and lots. Max was not supposed to stay, oh I would foster him for a bit but not keep him. well that was a year and half ago and he NOW stays. I have learned soo much from him...about the bond between people and canines.
Max is a lovebug now...trust is a huge factor and LET ME TELL YOU..he loves being spoiled too...lol and he is..just no blanket..lol. but maybe I will try that for him once and see how he likes it

NO homemade cooking for him though..he is on one Big DIET.. he is huge for a pug at 28 pounds....so he is dieting..lol. I would not say he looks fat but he is a big boy...a few pounds off him will be a good thing.

took forever to gain full trust by Max..my rescued pug here. he is a totally awesome pug. but it took a good long while before he totally settled in. he was beaten every day for his first 6 months..never thought he would trust a soul...but he has..

he is just moving in with AUNT ANNIE to get even MORE attention..lol

I am a rescue too, had a very hard life until she rescued me and took me in..and gave me a new home...and I am a pug. that stands for "PRETTY UTTERALLY GREAT"..the word PUG..wooof.
but she had NEVER EVER EVER..put a blanket on me to keep me warm..
she does not get this...at all

what a wonderful story, it is amazing how they have the ability to trust again, it all boils down to love.

Zoey is not....

Cain just loves being part of this family. His biggest change was at Christmas when he got that blanket. He loves getting into bed and actually waits to be wrapped up in it! He never showed how much he liked being petted or scratched until we gave him that blanket. Now, he actually moans when he likes something. Very little, but he never did it before the blanket.....that blanket has miracle powers!

cain just loks like one baby who is just loved to death, i know that we all love our babies , but rescues i think just seem to be a little special in our hearts, I know that I will only do rescues, are all your babies rescues Annie??
