We were able to trap ALL ThREE today with the help of a rescue org. I can't believe it! St. Francis must have been looking for those kitties...they will get fixed and vaccinated now. I just feel so bad for them....they were so freaked in the cages.

she was a ferral cat that strolled into my daughter's parking lot at work.....sick.....dehydrated.....undernourished......in 100 degree weather... now she follows me everywhere..refused to go out of the house for over a year, and will cuddle with anyone she can convince to pay attention to her. It all depends on the cat.

he showed up on a lady's porch one day, not a tiny kitten but less than a year old. She fed him, he stuck around. She trapped him, had him neutered, then let him go again. He still stuck around her porch. She had to move and felt bad about just leaving him, so she trapped him again and gave hime to the animal shelter, who cleaned up his nasty matted fut and put him up for adoption at PetSmart. He went from a wild free cat to one that lived in a tiny box. For THREE months! No one wanted a big adult male very furry cat. I of course fell in love with his furry self and we adopted him, even though it said he had to go to a home with no dogs. I think by that time they were getting anxious about him finding a home, they usually only stay a week or two. He hid under the garage steps(the door was always open so he could choose to come in the house) for close to 6 months before he became comfortable enough to venture out. Now he lets Audrey woobie his ears. He is a sweetheart! And so beautiful.

day and after I had fed him for about a month, he became a house cat. He was really sweet. I had a kitten at the time and at first I was afraid he might try to hurt her. Instead, he would do the cutest thing. He would chase her in a playful way from one room to the other. And then when I would look up, she would be chasing him back to the room where they were started. He was huge, so it was really funny to see this tiny kitten chasing him.

It's very scary for them at first
I have tamed several "wild" kittens. I got scratched a lot too!
we have a cat that was basically wild for 3 years

I think that is accurate as a general rule, but I had a feral ca

They come back here! IT's a program for feral cats...they
can't go to homes...very hard to domesticate a cat who has not had human contact by 6 weeks.
You did a good thing and...
I hope the kitties will go on to find happy homes & a good life.
Pretty Please...
Michele, that is so great
I'm sure they'll be just fine
You did a good thing!

Understandable reaction for ferel cats.
Its still a kindness to keep them from reproducing or dying from FELV or similar, so this was definitely a "good deed".
