you've pretty much summed up the difference. The 3G option will require a data plan from AT&T just as their iphone does.
The knocks I've heard against the ipad is: no camera, only able to run 1 app at a time--so you can't do IM while reading a book, and no ability for flash player so websites that use flash won't perform correctly. I presume that you must get the apps from the i-store
I'm sure once it's now out there will be many reviews of it. Competitors will probably be coming up with something similar soon.
I have a question r.e. the WiFi models vs. the 3G models . . .
as I understand it, the 3G model (which doesn't come out until the end of this month) is like an iPhone or Droid in that it will enable an owner to get on the internet from anywhere, such as while in the car on a long trip miles from anywhere. But for the WiFi model, don't you have to be at home or within a certain distance of a WiFi hotspot?? Is that the main difference between them, other than price??
