Opening day of the 2010 MLB Season....

....and being Yankees Fans, Bernie and his Daddy have been watching the YES Network all afternoon (or rather, Daddy has been watching and Bernie has been napping). Lo and behold, during a recap of the 2009 season, the Yankee's announcer starts in on his trademark "Ball game over, Yankees win! The-e-e-e-e-e-e-eeee Yankeeeeeeeees Wiiin!" and out of a dead sleep jumps Bernie, who starts zooming around the house like a mad dog, barking and wagging his whole body, stopping to offer "high fives" to everyone in the house! Mommy and Daddy are so proud!

(I have to confess, during the World Series last year we taught him to high five for a treat every time the Yankees scored or won. It's just been a long off season and I'd taken for granted how ingrained this was in his brain!)

uh, in a football game, that is. Tho, Drew Brees was actually a pretty good baseball player in college.
