hi
I know I have saw a page with amounts to feed puppies milk replacer, the weight of the pup and the cc to give each puppy, does anyone have a copy of that or know where I can find it,
have a litter of seven bullies and mom with no milk, thanks Kim
Milk replacer
I use the Goat Milk Esbilac (GME) and have had good results. It comes liquid or powder (much cheaper). I go by their suggested feeding amount of 1 oz milk for every 8 oz of body weight and have had good weight gains and poops. If on Mom I guesstimate how much they are getting and decrease my supplement. If quantity is too much (pup feels too full if given an ounce of formula) I will increase the calories in the formula by increasing the powder to water ratio when I mix it (regular mix is 1 cup powder to 2 cups water. Increase calories by mixing 2 cups powder to 3 cups water). In that way I can feed pup less and it still gets adequate calories. At 3 weeks I add Esbilac 2nd Step to the formula. My pups are now 3 1/2 weeks. They have tripled their birth weight. I have pulled mom--she never came into enough milk anyway and would not clean the pups so it became easier to just "do it myself". I am bottle feeding them 4 times/day (7am, noon, 5pm, 10pm) 2 ounces per feed and they are gaining over 100 grams each day. In another week I will offer them wet kibble and wean the bottle.

Good advice from Miriam.
I have also used straight goats milk in a pinch if you have a supplier that milks them close.
And always .....Winston
