And I didn't have to turn over ownership of the photo. But the contest is crazy. I did win $250 for becoming a finalist. But they continue to sell my card. There really is no way to win that contest. I had SO many people buying cards like crazy, and still came in 32. Between family members alone, who bought packs of 20 cards each.. and then lots of dear friends and bully friends. And for that, I truly feel awful that people spent their money...

Obviously, the contests are big money makers for them, and that's fine. I'm just not interested in them anymore. Hey, it was really awesome to be able to find my card on the shelves of Hallmark though, truly!! (ALthough I HATED the way they photoshopped the original photograph, they gave my Kimmie a clubbed foot!)

I guess I'm rambling here, lol. Sorry!

So, to answer your question, I knew what I was getting into, but honestly, as long as you do not have the $$$ to buy up all your cards, there is no way to win the contests...

I still shop there though, lol

btw, do they require you to turn over ownership rights to photos they use for cards? Or did you retain ownership?
