does this type of thing happen really. they should never get a dog in the first place then.
I have a rescued pug that was beaten everday for 6 months of his life. Max has been here a year and half now and doing great. I plan to use him for a therapy dog. can not see anyone hurting a dog and in Max case that was an 8 week old puppy. I am really lucky the vet said that Max has no aggression issues because of it. he is s super dog and really adds to my family here. sad what happened in his past...
so there is hope that they will find a good home for this abused bully. someone will take the dog in and love it and show the dog that no all people are mean.
hope this lady was charged that abused the bulldog.

I was just glad that the bullie seemed to be doing ok once they got it away from that lady. The only thing i could hope is that it was a plastic shovel and not metal because at least it might not have done as much damage that way.. The saddest part is that the bullie was just sitting there, even if he had been barking there's no excuse for bashing a dog in the head like that. I hope they find Spike a new home with a loving family.

I'm usually a realist and have seen far too many situations of neglect/benign abuse of bulldogs however I'm still in too fragile an emotional state, having lost my own sweet bulldog 2wks ago, to read about this kind of sadness/sickness. I think there are a few others who are in my same mourning phase and they may feel as I do. Its not a question of 'not caring' but rather that we 'care too much' to endure more hurt at this time.

you care too much & would do ANYTHING to be able to have more time & here is this monster! I still feel this way about my Ollie & it's been almost 3 years. What I wouldn't give to have more time w/him & this monster has no idea what a precious gift she had right in front of her. I hope she gets much more than 4 years.

I pray she suffers the same pain. That poor baby bully. Oh my heart is just aching. I can't even imagine that poor dog's life so far. Prayers & justice for him.

It is disgusting what she did to that dog. And personally, I feel her husband should get something too...he is the one that took the dog to the vet numerous times after she beat him......but he did NOTHING to stop her from doing that to him.
I pray Spike will find his heaven on Earth very shortly and be spoiled for the rest of his life!
on one of the stories about it..
I'm sorry, I don't know which paper it was in directly, I am involved in alot of rescue groups on FB and must of read the link there...

WHY GET A DOG and do this? I bet he was not
neutered and they hoped to "make money" off him.
Michele, I am sick about it
I just dont understand what is wrong with people. It makes you want to lose hope in the future of humanity.
And people are baffled when dogs are aggressive...
it's because of HUMANS.
I wish I didn't hear about it...I keep crying.
Gentle hugs to you Elaine!
DO NOT watch it...I didn't want to but saw about 3 seconds
because I didn't get to the remote fast enough.
and her son said..
"its just a dog people"..
