after much coaxing to get Gus into the car..since I did not go. the sons took off with Gus for the game. Gus did really well at his meet and greet they said.
he met lots of people, the reaction to him being deaf, was
wow..that is soo sad
poor guy..how does he manage
that is terrible..
MY sons just said the same thing to them all
he is more obedient with signs then the hearing dogs at the house
he manages just fine
he may be deaf but he is all BULLDOG...
we love him the way he is ....
lots of other questions about bulldogs were asked
tons of questions..
in the end, they brought back Gus before the game started. he was exhausted. he SNORED and snored last night and he is normally very quiet..
Gus had a good time
in fact there was other people there that took they bulldogs too...
My son said it was a good night
and the WORSE thing that happened last night
THE team LOST..in overtime. sudden death tonight, will keep my fingers crossed they can win
Good boy Gus!
The rest is well deserved!

Way to go, Gus!
Maybe people learned something new about deaf dogs...
Pretty Please...
forgot--do you have any pictures?
Yeah for Gus....
I am so glad it worked out so well. Too bad they lost though.
HE was a big HIT Cathy...never met a anyone that does not like G
he truly is a great bulldog
being deaf does not stop all the bulldog antics
and the fun playful side of him..makes him a hit where he goes
he is very friendly and outgoing
he loved the attention last night too
an hour and half outside with 1200 people before the game was enough for him though
he came home exhausted..
made me laugh when he started to snore...NEVER snores loud normally..
he had a blast as did the people that met him
yea I think he would have been major stressed ..any longer then
it was enough with 1200 people passing him to say Hello
and many of them petting him and such
that is enough stress on one bulldog for the night..
he was there about an hour and half as it was..long enough
my sons call him the big lug..lol as well..
made me laugh when I read that
good thing he was well behaved
1200 people petting a bully
is a big deal for Gus..lol
he just sat there and took it all in..
Good for Gus!!
I'm sure everyone just loved him, after all how can they not?? I guess he got his exercise for the week in now

Good job, Gus!!
You make all the bullies PROUD!
tons and tons of questions..
was a hoot to hear some of the ones people ask
you do not see that many bulldogs around here
and most people had lots of questions..
and that he did..lol
he has still been sleeping most of the day today
big night
glad he came home when he did though
would have been too much for him for the first time to stay at the game
and that he did..lol

thanks Judy.....people have their minds ideas of what a deaf dog
but very seldom what they are NOT.
deafness does not make Gus anymore less of a bulldog then Bella
he just copes differently..
and sometimes..better..lol in some ways..
good chance to explain that deaf dogs make great pets though...
I would adopt another deaf dog again.
Gus is great the way he is...and we have all learned to adapt to him..
he is a sweetie
and he was a hit
deaf and all
my sons did not take any pics..it was dark outside...
he was standing at the door to the areana as the people came in..
so not much light
the paper might have gotten a pic
the local paper comes out once a week will check and see next week if they got one or not..
he did really well
he was soo tired though
all that bully attention was too much for the guy..lol
glad Gus had a good time, and peoples' questions are always inte
