OMG!!!!! I was going off my mind trying to get my Lily to take her pills, she decided that pill pockets are no longer acceptable and every morning and night turned into frustrating exercise. Of course, until I tried your recipe. It works, and on couple occasions when she even turns her nose on THAT, I put a tiny dollop of peanut butter on top and we're good to go. You have truly changed my life, Thanks you!!!!!
hey! That's me! Friday Mash!!! Glad it helped!!!!
It worked wonders for me!
OK, the original poster should get the credit, not me...but here
sweet potato cooked in microwave (with skin , this is why it is so great, almost no work)
chicken breast cooked in water (I cook mine in no salt chicken broth/stock)
the proportions are pretty much to match size of potato to size of chicken.
put cooked ingredients into food processor and let it blend together.
I keep it in glass container and make small, pill encasing balls and Lily loves them. She takes so many horse-sized pills, it is easy to administer. I start with small pills and then go for big one and toggle between small and large. There are couple of times she is turning her nose up even on those, so I put a dollop of peanut butter on top of that mash and there is absolutely no problem
THANKS, THANKS again for recipe to the person who posted it!!!!!!
could you repost that recipe?
Belle has to eat some giant horse pills for her urine crystals and she won't take them with the 1,2,3 method anymore. She learned how to pick out the pill and eat the frosting. She's so evil. LOL
Please share that recipe again.
Thanks,
E
Hope Lily and Chester are doing better!!
I don't rescue animals because I want to feel better about myself, or morally superior to anyone. The best part of my life with animals is the humility they teach and the humanity the foster.

We'll take it a day at a time.

continued prayers for both your babies,
I GOT all Bella pills down with Bratwurst sausages..
that worked for me for the dilema
if she takes them with that
any dog likely would ..
she is very fussy with pills and hard to get her to to take them..lol really hard
Good idea, thanks for reminding me...I actually cooked my own...
but if I used "store bought", I need to pay attention to it. Thanks.

Always remember to
check and make sure no onions are used when cooking with prepared broth. Check the label carefully as onion of some sort (onion powder, dehydrated onion)is frequently used. Onions are toxic to dogs.
