Food questions again :(
Submitted by Mason and his Mom on April 20, 2010 - 11:38pmHi there, since the change in formula od NB Duck and Poatoe LID. I have switch Mason to Venison formula. I must tell you, this stuff smells funny compared to the duck formula. The duck I couldn't smell but this stuff I can.
Anyway...my concern is that Mason doesnt seem to like it. Breakfast is still on the floor from this am and he hasn't even touched it., He didn't eat dinner last night either. If I add something like an egg or something he will eat it but I dont want to keep doing that.
He still has a lot of ear junk too.
I was going to switch to the bision formula and hope that he eats that but what do others suggest? Mason is allergic to Chicken, Lamb, Rice, Brown rice, and Brown wheat.
he only eats grain free foods.
advise please

food looks good but we cant eat rice and that is all the allergie formulas are. The core also looks good but he cqant eat chicken, or lamb...ughh,,thanks for the tip though

I have fed NB Venison and Duck for a couple of years...
the last bag I opened smelled unusual, it has never smelled like that before. I am in the process of changing food at the moment. I am trying Avoderm Lamb & Brown Rice. It was recommended when I switched to NB as an alternative. Don't know what is happening with NB, they say it is because they've added more Venison but I definitely think they have changed their formula.

Wellness recently came out with a dry food for dogs with allergy
I can't quite recall what the formula is called, but it's something like Simply ____, or maybe Simple ______. I can't recall the second word. Wellness also has one or more grain free formulas, including Wellness Core. But you may first want to try the special formula for dogs with allergies.
If you Google "Wellness dog food," the search results will include Wellness's home page.
