After a number of years of "roughing it" in a 1973 18' camper trailer that has no bathroom, we found a GREAT(!!) deal on a used self-contained unit that looks every bit brand-new.
It's a 22 ft 2005 Wildwood bumper pull. Queen walk-around bed, closets, air-conditioning, microwave, full bath w/shower, outside shower too, awning, and some underneath storage. The original owners never took the mattress out of the plastic. Everything is beautiful! It just barely arrived as a trade-in, so the dealer is going through it to make sure everything is in perfect operational order. We'll pick it up on Tuesday.
Dubby and I are VERY excited that we'll have hot water at hand and not have to travel with a case of cold baby wipes anymore! And it'll be great not to have to fold our bedding up every morning ...
YAY!!

We use to have an older Class C
It was okay for dog shows that were within a 5 hour drive. After that, it was cheaper to take my Subaru and get a room somewhere.
The motorhome was unhandy was just about everything else. Difficult to manuever in Yellowstone, but it got some additional use to accommodate extra houseguests at home.
So many RV types to choose from, depending on what you plan to use it for.
We like parking a trailer at a campsite and being able to drive around freely with the truck ... and nothing too long that would be troublesome to get into the mountains.
Here's an e-bay listing that looks like the one we just got .... though we got ours for a much better price! We love it!

Sounds awesome, wish I could buy a Class C with triple sliders
I looked at some last summer. Sure wish I could afford one.

I would like one for hurricane reasons
first, to evacuate in. It's hard to find a hotel that will take six pets. But also as a fallback in case I need it to live in after a hurricane.
With the poor gas mileage, I probably wouldn't use it for any long distance trips.

Nice!
I bet it's great! I would love to have a motor home someday and time off work to enjoy it.
Excellent!
Does this mean you guys will be taking more trips (and you'll be posting more pics)?
