A big black bear was spotted on my property..
just what I need to hear..lol
anyhow the bear was spotted on my property last night. not sure what he is looking for. neighbourhood watch called this am.
we are to take down all our birdfeeders and call authorities if he any signs of the bear.
this is a fairly populated area but lots of bush around for the bear to hide..
they stopped the spring bear hunt in ontario...and now the bears are moving more and more south.
this same bear has been spotted a few times lately..a bit of distance where I am from.
NO jolly ball or outside play for now..until this creature is caught..
I have a fenced in area for potty...but to be safe that is the ONLY place the dogs will be allowed to roam for now. not even going to take them for a walk for the time being. people have been warned to keep their cats inside..so mine will do that too.. also to be on careful watch of all dogs.. Bears can kill a dog with one swipe of the paw
Bears are truly a nuisance..
I so know what your talking about
we have bears, moose, deer, all sorts of animals, best to keep them in a safe area until it moves on, must be looking for food
I live on 1/2 ACRE...and a BEAR outside the window..too close fo
there is a big park right behind my house..he could easily hide out in there too
hopefully they will catch this bear soon.
it is a black bear. If you see them..you have to act bigger then the bear.
they have spotted cougars on occasion around here too..about an hour north of here.
also wild cyotes..as well...
I have seen a timber wolf one time in the backyard here take out a racoon...you should have heard the noise. wolves are very timid...and do not see them in the daylight and can travel hundreds of miles so the authorities say.. the wolf was many years ago now.
Now that is scary, a little too close for comfort, I live in Chi
coyotes slot lately, and last year the police killed a cougar, in a very popular neighborhood, near the Cub's park, it was crazy! I would absolutely freak out if I encountered a Bear!! LOL not that it's even remotely possible here, although I did one time run into a raccoon that was the size of a small bear! I swear that thing was huge! Well keep the babies close!
very very closely..
it is a good thing I have a bit of a fence outside for potty at least. the fence is 6 feet tall so doubt the bear can get into that..
but will watch everyone really close.
hopefully they catch this bear soon..
I heard Gus barking out the window...last night....
if Gus barks..you look..lol
usually that means something is out and about
did not see anything but then I do not have the proper lighting to see the whole back yard.
well at least Gus can see good ..likely his other senses really kick in with his lack of hearing..
can not be too careful with a bear around..
awwww....watch those babies cwosewy!
oh my Pat that is so scary
stay safe...
hugs
