Doggie bath tub question

do any of you have a portable doggie bath/grooming tub? Hubby is going to make me a grooming area off our garage and I want one of these to save my back and master bathroom, that I am currently using! LOL

here is one I saw at a show I'm thinking about....but wanted to get opinions if anyone has one, what they like or don't like, etc..

I think one of the Rescue Groups has one of these...

they sure do bathe a lot of dogs, so it would make a big difference.

Just if you would splash..

or spray it out. The dog is fastened at the front of the tub and the drain is at the back. I can send you a pic if you would like.

awww! puppy in the sink!

it is amazing how small he was. SO CUTE too!
Well, he's still cute, which is one of my favorite things about bulldogs. They STAY cute as they get older, they never lose their puppy adorableness.

Awesome! thanks so much Beth

appreciate your comments and that's neat about the RV - we're looking at a "toy hauler" and that would be perfect in something with the open back

No, not rude at all - if I didn't want opinions I wouldn't have

I appreciate your opinion, I was concerned about the plastic legs as well....I've seen these used at dog shows a lot and wondered how they held up - we'll look into both options, hubby is very handy, so could easily raise a real tub and make steps, etc...

Thanks Tina....question

do you find that any water comes out the back end? I was wondering about that being so much lower than the sides, but I know it has to accomodate the ramp, but in our case hubby will probably make removable steps...glad you have the same one and it's held up well

I was concerned like Judy pointed out about it being plastic, especially the legs

We have one

just like that and absolutely love it!    We've had it for 4 years and don't know how we survived without it.   We even take it with us in the motorhome when doing a long weekend of shows to give the kids a freshing up and it's been a godsend when travelling with pups.

I have the same one....

and I really like it. Mine is around 4 years old. I use it all of the time. I got lucky and got a great price on it..it was a display model at a petstore that was closing and the manager gave me a deal. I think the Costco price is great, too. You still have to lift the dogs in, but it sure saves on the back during the bathing process.

not to be rude but thats a waste of money!!!!

its plastic...and those legs are really flimsy and once they crack they just fall down.....your better off getting a used reg tub or one that has been chiiped in shipping from a plumbing store....you will never regret it...becasue you want room to bath....one thing i have learned being in dogs do it right the first time.....becasue i cant tell you own many mistakes i have made and what the cost ending up being....

he is an awesome bulldog..

what a change though
hard to believe they were all puppies at one time..way back when
they grow to fast if you ask me..lol
way to fast..

$179 sounds pricey to me....see msg

Do you have room for a regular bathtub? I bet you could pick one up cheap at a salvage yard or thrift store. When I was still showing I had a regular bathtub elevated on a cinder block base with a hand-held shower head. Greatest thing ever. I had a friend who used a stainless steel restaurant sink on legs in their dog room, got it as a restaurant supply store. Also terrific, but could be pricey too, I don't remember what he paid for it.

there will be with mine...

hubby is going to pipe off my laundry room

Those look really cool. I bathe Chloe in the tub and it KILLS MY BACK! my dumb question of the day is, though, is there hot water?

I've been using our walk in master bath shower.....

which was fine when I only had one, but now after washing two in a row my back is killing me....

I loved it when I could wash Twister in the kitchen sink, but that didn't last long - that boy grew like a weed! LOL

ahhhhh, the memories - I cannot believe he was ever that small...

one of our last sink baths...he just got too big! LOL

it looks cool...light enough you could take it outside easy too.

I have also taken my dogs to a pet wash and like that idea too..
different design though for sure..but the dog is up at your level..
no bending..
