I admit I've been very lazy about scooping poop... mainly because with raw, it just turns to chalk, and especially in the winter, it just pretty much disintegrates. No smell, no nothing. But, it's sort of unsightly to see a lot of white turds in one place. So I went to rake and scoop a little today.
All of Gretl's turds are along the fence or the house. Absolutely nothing is in the middle. Since I've been having to take her out on a leash in the dark after her spay, it's sorta nice to know I'm safe in the middle of the yard, and can let her go to the end of her 6' leash along the fence line.
Grover was the same way. He'd run up and down the fence line picking the exact right spot. Never in the middle of the yard.
Do I just have two neurotic pooches? Or is this a common thread among bullies? My labs growing up went wherever... as does my parents' lab. LOL...
Random, I know. But my brain is on overload with this spay business. She's acting as if she's 100% perfectly fine tonight. Totally back to her normal self. LOL... I, on the other hand, am stressing to keep her calm and not pop her incision. LOL!

Ha, ha!
These guys just crack me up. Not to get gross (we are talking poop, after all), Stella also grunts when she goes. I was at my dad's once and Stella headed for the cedars in the back. I was with my brother in law. We lost sight of Stella but we started hearing this grunting - Geoff asked what that noise was. He couldn't believe it!! We cracked up the whole time - and even more so once Stella ran out of the bushes full speed to do her "I did it" dance.
My funny girl...
lol
Onslow tries to go in the taller grass so he has a grass skirt, for cover. LOL

Perimiter plus
Stella (when she could see - now she goes anywhere) always pooped on the edges of the yard but also needed head coverage. She had to have her head stuck in one bush or another - for privacy, you know.
Onslows a perimeter pooper

LOL well......
the pugs go wherever..and the bullies too
I have a small fenced in area that they use
if they are on the free roam in the yard though with me ..the rest of the yard is not fenced in...then they prefer to use the bush..never go right in the center of the yard
Both of my Bulldogs do that too, and I think...
the reason is that they don't want to step in it when they are playing. I think it's a way of keeping their space clean. Just like when dogs don't want to soil their den.
Zapper runs from the Poo Monster also LOL (eom)
SO funny about the labs!
Ours go everywhere too! Audrey most definitely prefers a few spots, one near the house, and one near some shrubs.

LOL! We call that a poopie zoomie
Audrey does the same thing, but moreso at the end of the poop session. At least we always know when she's done!

Funny you should mention this...
I was thinking the same thing today. I have to stand outside and watch mine from the patio because the lo-riders are poop-eaters (ewww!). Booger always very graciously 'goes' along the fence line. How considerate of him to make sure his mommy doesnt step in poop when she is in the backyard. The little dogs however (selfish little turds- pun intended), go all over in the middle of the yard. Their poop is small and easily hidden in the grass. Makes for horrible little landmines when walking in the backyard. Must be a Bully thing. They just love us more! LOL
When the poop monster is about to bite Clovis's butt, she hauls
Clovis always goes along the fence. Boo is an equal opportunity dumper. Flynn tend to go by the fence, but not always.
Clovis is the only one, tho, who takes off like a rocket right before she goes, and then does the same when she finishes. She definitely believes in the Poop Monster.

Around the sides
I put straw around the perimeter, to keep their feet clean. They use it in the straw, and it's easy to find and pick up.

Ha, ha, ha...you crack me up! We had great poop location control
the big ice and snow this winter. Moze and Ollie always go way out by the fence on the other side of the driveway, but during the snow it was like, "We can't pick up the scent, mom!" So with all of the confusion about exactly where to go, they both started going on the snow close to the house (on our newly sodded yard)! Since it has warmed up, and the grass looks like grass again, they are starting to find the old potty haunts. I am so glad! Your little white poopies must look so attractive Funny post!
