According to the segment, there is a well trained Rhesus monkey that was running wild throughout the Tampa/St. Petersburg area for about 3 years. A woman who owns Bubba keeps fruit such as oranges in a large basket outside her sliding glass door. But the oranges kept disappearing. One day Bubba started barking like crazy and when the woman went look to see what he was barking at, she saw the monkey. Of course she was teased by some disbelieving friends. But Bubba saved the day for the oranges. The monkey was eventually captured but it now has either a Twitter account or a Facebook page (I forgot which one they said).
The segment was shown on the Today Show so it will probably be re-broadcast tonite on the NBC Nightly News. It's a pretty cute piece.
