I think that with all the fuss and confusion of playoff hockey and all the rowdy people that will be at the game tonight. even though it is a fun league they are still really competitive
they are talking about 3 overtimes again for this game. that would mean Gus would have to sit for 6 periods of hockey.
I think that is far to long for him to do that..
for a FIRST time..

so the idea we came up with was
he would meet people coming into the game..
to give them all a bulldog smile..since the team is the Bulldogs
I will put him in this sweater..see the pic..
and he can meet and greet all the 1200 people..instead

then one of my sons will bring Gus back home..
and maybe another game we can do the whole game..

EVERYTIME I put some clothing on him he goes to sleep
lets hope tonight HE can stay awake for a bit..lol

That is ENOUGH for a first time..meet and greet of that many people..at least I think so

Let the local newspaper know about him being there...

he will not get some toasty and fall asleep.
Gus does it everytime
before I can get the pic ready..he is out alseep
he is the same way at bedtime..he loves to get warm and then he is out out..
maybe he feels more secure in a sweater..not sure

he could borrow Ozzy's speedo and give that a whirl though
maybe he might change his way..and stay awake

they wanted to use Gus for a masscott...
I just can not explain it..but with all the hype and people..
meet and greet is good.
that way to he will be outside
and it is much cooler out...but nice enough for a bulldog to be out
that way he will not overheat either.
if someone wants to see him..they can come up and see him

in the Arena..he would be sitting who knows where..and not everyone might be able to meet him.

this is best for Gus really.

A "measured response" to this invitation is the prudent way to go...both Gus and the hockey fans should have a good time with the Meet&Greet without overstimulating/overtaxing him.

I just can not see him sitting there that long..
it would be cool and such
but a meet and greet the first time and see how he likes
it is better idea..
he likely would sleep during the game though, he would not hear the noise..
but still...
for this time..I just said only the meet and greet before the game
that is good enough..a real bulldog to visit for a Bulldog game..I think
Gus has to come first

he loves everyone and anything..
not met a person that did not like him
lol he will love all that attention
but that is good enoough for a first time at mascott
1200 people greeting one bully is enough for one night

the HOCKEY team needed a masscott...

my son suggested Gus..he works with a couple of the guys that play on the team.
the series is really close..
they used to have another bulldog mascott but he passed over the bridge.
I thought that Gus could go and do this
but seriously I think with it being the first time and all
and thinking of Gus really instead of the team...
and a dog view point..lol
they went to three overtimes..last game. and two overtimes the game before that
too long..since Gus has not been a masscott before to sit still

so he can go and meet all the Kincardine Bulldog fans coming into the game..
and my sons can bring him back here..that is good enough for a first time.

if the series goes on further. or they make it to the next round..will give this more thought about Gus going for the whole game..

I am just thinking of Gus sitting there for 5 or longer hours...
