Dale's final chapter - RIP Good Girl

Dale died in her sleep last evening just 9 days short of her 13th birthday. I knew she was ready to go as she didn't want to eat the past 48hrs and I had to coax 1-2T. food into her a few times a day but I did manage to slip in some pain meds to ease her struggle. If you want to read 'her story' look at the Home Page, Hall of Fame, August 2009 where she was BOM. Her final chapter...she remained resolute and sweet to the end. Its too quiet here this morning...I miss you already, Sweetheart.

Somehow this is the one place I can come and shed my tears freely and know that you understand. I will have her cremated as I have done for others before her, and I went out to the yard just moments ago to plant some snapdragons that I bought yesterday...there IS something therapeutic about planting flowers in memory of someone dear. And when I came in the back door and my eyes immediately go to where her bed would lay and her sweet brown eyes aren't smiling back at me. I won't forget Dale, or any of my dear departed friends...ever.
